Live Chat & Assistant
Real-time chat: a common room, private messages, moderation and an assistant that answers questions.
Problem
Visitors need to talk to each other and to the administration without leaving the page.
Goal
A fast chat that holds hundreds of users and that the administrator runs from one place.
Architecture
A separate service with a permanent connection (WebSocket); the site talks to it with signed data, so nobody can take another person’s name.
Features
- Common room and private messages
- Photo, video and voice messages
- Moderation: bans, word filter, link control
- An assistant that answers questions about the site and finds films
- Live counter of users online
Result
The chat runs every day on the live site.
